Dental care and oral health are a critical part of wellness and overall health. With the high competition in the travel industry pushing transportation fares lower and lower each year, people are taking trips more frequently and for longer periods of time. We feel that these two metrics deserve an innovative and functional accompaniment to make people’s lives easier and more convenient.

We realize that there are other travel toothbrushes on the market. But very few of these combine an innovative design, easy to use and functional form factor and enough toothpaste to last an extended trip or period of time. We feel that the potential is there for this product to easily transform from a travel based product into an item that people will use in the home as well. People want to save time, waste less and take up less space on their bathroom sink. This product achieves all of those goals.

The idea in the simplest form

A cylindrical toothbrush with a proprietary inner chamber and twist mechanism. A person using the go brush can twist as much or as little toothpaste through the hole as they prefer. Once brushing has finished, the user simply cleans the brush as they would with a normal toothbrush and they can then slide the cap back on the toothbrush head for sanitary storage.

Intellectual Property Right: Patent

Our go brush toothbrush design is protected by Patent No: US 8,430,589 B2, Date of Patent: April 30th, 2013 filed with the United States Patent Office. The patent for this idea was developed by Robert M. Schneider M.D. and insures that we alone can develop a toothbrush with this type of mechanism in the future.

Target Markets

Although people using any kind of toothbrushes are potential customers, initially we aim to target business and leisure travelers, outdoor enthusiasts, and people who spend an abundance of time away from their home.

Providing an attractive and functional toothbrush that eliminates waste and saves space, we feel that our product can have a sole monopoly of the current travel toothbrush market as well as a comfortable infiltration of the general and home use toothbrush market.

To guarantee our goal, we need to carefully explain our value proposition to these target markets and advertise the product in media that they consume. Explanation of the advantages in a creative and appealing manner will not only lead us to top of the travel and outdoor enthusiast toothbrush market but we feel it will also increase the market share of toothbrushes among the total toothbrush industry. There are currently 4.9 million rooms available in the United States today factored with a 62% occupancy rate.  Assuming a 10% market share, we would see 15 million go brushes sold annually.

Overall, we feel that the simplicity of the design of our product and given the right strategic partnership, that this product can be mass produced extremely cost effectively. This will lead to a competitive pricing structure in the marketplace. Currently a toothpaste tube costs roughly $5.00 to purchase. Additionally a toothbrush can range in price from $2 to $7 dependent on style and brush features.

We feel that our product can be compete with both of those products effectively at a $4 to $10 dollar price point. Given the fact that this product eliminates needing to purchase two other products and the inherent value in saving space and eliminating waste, we feel that this pricing will be competitive in the marketplace.

We have prototypes created that clearly demonstrate the usefulness and value that this product offers. We have already attained patent protection and know that this product is ready to change the world of oral care.
